What everyone knows

You can enjoy this quirky food truck park seven days a week.

What they don't tell you

In addition to the food trucks listed above, you can also find a few boutique trucks such as Chasing Indigo where you can get jewelry, accessories, and more; or Lemon Drop, a hip vintage Airstream chidren’s boutique.

Do it like a local

After enjoying the cool water at Barton Springs, stop by The Picnic Food Truck Park on your way home for some tasty offerings whether you enjoy their shady pavillions or take your food to-go.

For the History Buffs

Just about 100 yards from Zilker Park, The Picnic foodtruck park offers locally owned foodtrucks, several pavillions with numerous picnic tables, air conditioned bathrooms, and plenty of parking. Each food truck offers tasty cuisine for both meat and non-meat diners. Coat and Thai offers your typical spring rolls, pad thai, as well as three different types of curry dishes of which my fave is the yellow curry. For something unique and delish, try the pineapple fried rice. Cannone Cucia Italiana food truck dishes out various pastas, pizza, and foccachia bread (as well as freshly made gelato in a food truck across the main entry). The bolognese sauce rival’s my native Italian grandmother’s. Craving Mediterranean food? Longhorn Habibi’s chicken & rice plate is delightful. Especially with a side of fried chickpeas medallions which are fried to perfection! I also enjoy their freshly made pita bread and hummus. “Two fried avocado cones, please!” That’s what I ask for when I am at The Mighty Cone food truck - the truck with the longest lines, annually, at the Austin City Limits Festival at nearby Zilker Park. Craving some cajun food? The Original New Orleans Po-Boy & Gumbo Shop will appease your appetite. They offer about a dozen different po-boys, crawfish, gumbo, etouffee and more! I suggest you try the shrimp & grits plate, and be sure to save room for the heavenly beignets & powdered sugar for dessert! The Burger Truck and Have A Taco eateries are a big hit with children. Both trucks offer simple yet tasty classics your family will love. Still hungry and looking for some dessert? Then I recommend you go to Hey, Cupcake! They offer various cupcake options. In a hurry? No problem. Order the six-pack of cupcakes to-go!
