Really. We took the fun of riding on the open road with freidns and turned it into a fun tongue-in-cheek adventure that makes seeing the culture and history of a city the FUNNEST experience possible.
Tour guide made it so easy to follow and enjoy the ride. Tour takes you through many points of interest where you can get off and take pics. The elec bikes were so much fun to ride, loved it.
We planned two full days in Austin and had never been before. When I found this tour I was excited that it was on an electric bike since I knew we’d be able to cover more ground. The day of the tour was chilly in the 30s so we dressed warm. I’m glad we did it! John/Gator was an awesome guide full of stories and history of the city that we never would have learned on our own. He also had lots of great tips about places to check out while we’re in town. They take lots of photos which is nice, too. I’d do another tour with them for sure.
Definitely do this!!! What a blast we had and Tyler was a hilarious, engaging and informative guide. We loved every minute of our ride!
Daniel (aka Rooster) made learning how to ride and tooling around Austin great fun. He was knowledgable and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour!
I'm local, so I'll be back. I took my (70something) mom on a 9 a.m. vaguely-themed YBG tour (they offer some that are focused on specific aspects of Austin -- this one was more the general one) because it was her birthday and we had guests coming in to town and she still hasn't been downtown much. I expected the usual high points, just on a bike, and that would have been cool. What I got was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide (Patrick) who took us on a tour that was an awesome combination of the usual high points and some fascinating side trips. (Dude knows a lot about all kinds of minutae, including chicken and tattoos and local plants and Texas history -- it totally didn't surprise me that he was a teacher in a past life!) We went places that I didn't know existed and had a blast. So, two thumbs up. And I would think this tour would be fine for almost anyone -- I drove because my mom gets nervous, but we were on easily operated, well maintained bikes and took safe, medium-traffic routes, and she totally could've handled it as well. Our fellow tour takers varied from college students on Spring break to, well, my mom. So anyone would enjoy it. And it's a pretty good deal for 2ish hours of really good guidance. Do it -- you'll be glad you did. More
Patrick, awesome time today!Luvd our ride! Great food, great company, awesome bikes! We' ll be back for more!69 ers Rock!!Go Yankees!
My mom and I visited Texas on vacation. We’re from Ohio. We travelled from Dallas to Corpus Christi and back, and Your Biker Gang was the most fun thing we found! Cope was our guide and he was great. We got a better look at down town Austin and he pointed out a lot of cool street art and gave us background information on some of the really cool buildings. My favorite was the “narwhal” building. We ate at Torchys Tacos and it was DAMN GOOD, just like the sign said. I would definitely sign up for this again and to anyone who has never been to Austin, check them out! You’ll have a blast!!! We did the electric mini-bike tour with Tyler and it was really the highlight of everyone's trip. 6 adults (ages 54-23) and one 12 year old rider. A few of us picked it up right away but it was good to do the "training" so everyone felt comfortable. Then we were off and running. Got to see fun sights - get on and off and take pictures - and even made a stop for coffee. Tyler gave great information on the sights - and offered up a lot of humor. He let us design our own tour and asked what we wanted to see. Everyone in our group agreed - best city tour we have ever done and we would do it again. More
I had no idea what to expect going into this, but it ended up being so much fun!! I never realized how much actually goes into making graffiti, and I have sooo much respect for the artists! Definitely recommend this if you want to change things up a bit! Bring a couple drinks with a group of friends and make an awesome piece of art!
This experience is a blast! Where else can you lean back on your own fat boy and cruise the City without a license to ride? Granted, they top out at 20mph and your guide takes pretty good care to make sure you don't end up in crazy bad traffic. We went out on the morning trek with Justin. He did a great job teaching us the basics before we hit the road. It is important to remember this is a 'tour', not just a ride. Consequently, you make several stops during the tour to dismount, chat and take pictures. In addition, you only move as fast as the slowest rider. Unfortunately, they don't subscribe to the theory of Survival of the Fittest.Justin did a fine job explaining little factoids about the city as we tolled around. Our group was most interested in scenery and music, so those are the sites that he spent most of his time on. The only regret I have is I would have liked the option of cruising around a bit on my own at the end and just letting the bike fly down the streets. I think 20 miles per hour may be understating the performance of these beasts, but we never really had a chance to find out. More
Such a fun way to see the city. Entertaining from start to finish. Our tour guide was great! Looking forward to the food truck tour!
